Dr. Arnim Pause, Ph.D.

Arnim Pause

is currently a Professor of Biochemistry at Goodman Cancer Institute and Department of Biochemistry, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is also the founder, Director and Scientific Advisor of Capithera Ltd (Basel) as well as the founder, CEO and owner TherAquila Ltd Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Pause obtained his M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Konstanz in 1990 and a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry at McGill University in 1994. Subsequent to receiving his degree, Dr. Pause took a post-doctoral position at the National Institutes of Health Cell Biology and Metabolism Branch prior to being made an Independent Research Group Leader of Molecular Oncology Laboratory at the Max-Plank Institute for Biochemistry.

He subsequently held R&D management positions at Boehringer Ingelheim, Canada.  Dr. Pause has extensive research experience in molecular medicine including virology, cancer and metabolic diseases and is a Scientific Advisor and Consultant for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.  He has published more than 80 papers/book chapters and many patents.
